AS3 Server Recommended Hardware Configuration

Manufacturers update systems very often. Use the specifications and considerations below to find a compatible system from your hardware provider. We have had success with Dell PowerEdge and HP ProLiant systems. The following specifications are the minimum requirements for an 8-user system.

• Quad or 6 Core Intel Server Processor (usually Xeon)
• 12-16 GB memory
• Hard disk minimum of 500GB (SCSI or SAS), or optionally RAID 1 or 5 for redundancy
• CD/DVD ROM
• NIC (network card)
• Backup device (tape, removable hard disk (e.g. RDX) or you can use one already installed on your network)
• Recommended Operating Systems are Windows 2016 or 2019 Server or later, most current UNIX, or Linux
• Power backup (UPS)

• Intel i5 or i7 series
• 8-16 GB RAM (At leasr 12GB for Windows 10)
• Hard Disk minimum of 100GB
• CD/DVD ROM
• NIC (network card)
• Backup capability
• Recommended Operating System is Windows 10
  ** Windows 7 is end of life at the end of January 2020!
